What is Vanced?

Vanced is an improved version of the standard Android YouTube app. Includes ad blockers, background playback, and more. Easily install YouTube Vanced using the Vanced Manager app.

Major features:

It features a true his AMOLED dark mode that reduces battery and eye strain.
With adblock enabled, all ads in the video will be blocked and the video will play in the background or in PiP (Picture in Picture) mode - Supports Android 8.0 and above
Similar to other video players like MX Player, swipe controls control brightness and volume (with configurable padding). With the auto-repeat function, you can play your favorite songs and videos in an endless loop.
Not too interested in the new comments section and mini player? Just switch to the tablet version which is similar to the old version (but a bit buggy).

Adjustment:

You can override codec options like force his H.264 or VP9 for older devices.
If you want a cinematic experience, you can force 60fps or HDR playback. (Access to custom device configurations can be found on Discord or XDA)
You can freely set the default video resolution higher or lower and override the screen resolution for crisp 4K playback on any device.
You can change the default playback speed between 0.25x and 2x (if your device is good enough).
Ability to toggle between home ads, product ads, UI ads, community posts, movie upsells, compact films, remove movie shelves, compact banners (like Covid info), remove comments and more!
